Corns
Corns are caused from a build up of hard skin in a very specific area.
It is the body's response to excessive pressure on areas such as the tops of toes, or in between the toes.
Corns do not have a "root", but are a centralised area of hard skin, and can be quite deeply embedded in the skin causing them to be very painful.
It is therefore important to both remove the corn, and to also reduce the pressure on the area, otherwise the corn will undoubtedly return.
I use sterile disposable scalpels to remove corns, and felt or foam padding to reduce the pressure.
