Hard Skin |
|
Medical
conditions such as psoriasis and diabetes can affect the skin
generally, and hard skin builds up as a response to additional
pressure on certain parts of the feet. |

Slight to moderate hard skin can be managed by gentle filing
(when the skin is dry) and regular application of a moisturising
cream – see my Podiatrist Chiropodist Shop for the types of
creams I recommend. I use sterile disposable scalpels to reduce the hard skin to make walking much more comfortable. Where appropriate, felt padding can also be applied to effectively reduce the pressure on problematic areas. |
